Small Beauty Haul!

Here's a few bits and bobs I have purchased recently.
I bought (from left to right):
MeMeMe Flawless Cream Foundation in 'Beige Blush'
I picked this up because of a recommendation from a friend and I can't wait too see if it measures up to what they said.
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in '005 Silky Beige'
I have repurchased this powder because I think it is lovely to use as a setting powder and works well for me.
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in 'Soft and Gentle'
This is part of the Wonder Woman collection but it can be purchased outside of the collection. I bought this at a beauty shop in a designer outlet that sells old collections or beauty products in outdated packaging at a discounted price. I picked it up because I was in need of a new highlight and I had also heard great things about it on Sprinkle Of Glitter's blog. I can't wait to get using it!

The Hypest Hype - Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Review

I'm sure EVERYONE has heard of the 'Cleanse and Polish' by Liz Earle as there is so much hype on blogs and YouTube about it. I decided to see if it is really worth all the praise and wonderful things I have heard.
My opinion? I LOVE it!
I didn't think it would be as good as it is hyped up to be but it actually is!
The formula is so creamy and feels so natural on the skin, and it removed my make-up better than any make-up wipe. It makes my skin feel really nice and cleansed and it has been really clear since I have been using it. It also smells so nice and natural and generally feels like it is doing good things to your skin.
I purchased a 100ml 'Cleanse and Polish' in the starter kit that came with two muslin cloths and received a free 50ml bottle of the 'Instant Boost Skin Tonic' toner and samples of their Sheer Skin Tint in four different shades.
I am also completely in love with the toner and using these two has made me really want to try the moisturiser as well! Overall I have become completely addicted to Liz Earle skin care.
Have you tried the Liz Earle skin care? What did you think?

Whats In My Travel Makeup Bag

Hello! I am going on a short holiday to Norfolk in a few days so I thought I would do a whats in my travel makeup bag post, because it is only a three day long holiday I am being good and trying not to take too much makeup.

Face products:
Because I'm not taking much I decided to take the essentials, well things that I think are essential anyway!

  • e.l.f High Definition Powder ( I recieved this as a birthday present of my lovely sister and I am loving it  so far!)
  • e.l.f Tone Correcting Concealer
  • Natural Collection blusher in the shade 'Peach Melba'
  • Collection 2000 blusher in the shade 'Breathless' (I like to use this as a highlighter or just for the glowy cheeks look)

Eye products:
  • Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Show off Mascara
  • Accessorize Waterproof Mascara (in case we go swimming in the sea, although I highly doubt that is going to happen with this British summer weather!)
  • Benefit creaseless cream shadow/liner in shade sippin' n dippin' (I got this for my birthday and I am loving using it.)
  • e.l.f Cream Eyeliner

Lip products:
It was so hard to close on a few lip products but these are my favourites
  • Palmer's Moisturizing Lip Balm
  • The Body Shop 100% Natural Lip Roll-On (which is basically a clear non-sticky gloss)
  • e.l.f Lipstick in 'Seductive'
  • M.A.C lipstick in 'Syrup'
So that is all the makeup products I am taking on holiday with me! Are there any products that look most interesting to you? How much makeup do you useually take on holiday with you?

Glossy Box Double Whammy!

In the past few days I have received both my July Glossy Box (which was delivered to a neighbour while we were on holiday) and the August Box! Check out what I got in mine!
So first things first, we will start with the July Glossy Box!
Clynol Enrich Colour Shampoo - "A gentle shampoo with liquid jewel extract and UV filters to protect rich tones from fading" The idea of liquid jewel extract makes this product sound really luxurious (although how you extract liqidbut in general I don't really get too excited about shampoos, I still can't wait to give this a try though!
Monu Golden Glow - "This moisturising treatment for the face and body provides a safe, natural looking tan in just 3-5 hours" This is a great time for me to receive this product as it will give that perfect boost to my fading holiday tan!
Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Skin Balancing Lotion SPF 15 - "This lightweight, oil free lotion helps protect skin from UVA/UVB rays and pollution as it provides hydration all day long" This was the product that excited me the most! It smells lovely and I can't wait to start using it!
Jelly Pong Pong Lip Frosting in 'Irish Cream Pavlova' - "A multifunctional cream gloss. Use on lips for a tint of colour or cheeks for a luminous glow" The packaging for this is really pretty but not something I have seen a product like this packaged in before, it smells very sweet and looks very pink and girly which I love!
HD Brows Eye & Brow Palette in 'Vamp' - "Give your eyes and brows beauty that lasts with this incredible all-in-one compact palette" I have seen other bloggers talk about having recieved HD Brows palettes through Glossy Box before and thought it was slightly odd that they would include the same product again but at the same time I was so happy to get one! The colours look really pigmented and there is a good range within the 4 colours!

The August Glossy Box was an 'International Superstars' Box inspired by the Olympics, I think this is a great idea as it will introduce you to products you are less likely to have heard of if they are from different beauty scenes! Here is what I got:
DHC Deep Cleansing Oil - "This revolutionary water-soluble cleanser is better than any other make-up remover you've ever tried" This is a really nice looking product with a bog claim! It will be interesting to see if it lives up to it!
Lipcote - "The original lipstick sealer and secret of long lasting, feather fade and water resistant lipstick" I can't wait to use this! Lipstick just does not stay on my lips, I don't know if I just eat it off or something but it is quite an annoying problem so Lipcote could be the answer!
Glossy Box Lipstick in Glossy Pink - "Professional beauty lipstick for soft and glamourous lips with a luminous, long lasting colour" This product broke my heart! I loved everything about it, the colour, the texture the scent! But when I went to put it on this morning... It snapped! And I was NOT being rough with it! So beware fellow Glossy Boxers this could be your fate too! (I am getting a little dramatic now!)
Alessandro Pro White - "Optically brightening effect nail polish with anti-yellowing formula for radiant white and gleaming nails" This was also a really good product to receive. I hate the look of stained nails! Working part time as a waitress I have to take off any nail varnish every weekend for work and the amount of times I turn up with stained yellow nails ashames me. Hopefully this will sort me out!
Vera Valenti L'ombre a Paupiere Margarita - "An eyeshadow palette offering a selection of ten different colours with an applicator included" I love that this palette has a good range of neutrals. The greens are nice too but I am very much a neutral gal in the eye department! The eyeshadows themselves are not the most pigmented but they are buildable.
All For Eve Eve's Balm - "Eve's balm is an easily absorbed recovery balm to nourish dry and chapped skin" I was also very happy to receive this. I will probably only use this on my lips but I love lip balms and I can never have enough!
I was really pleased with what I got in both my Glossy Boxes and  I can't wait till the next time! Glossy Box is a really good way of discovering and trying new things and I love the mystery of not knowing what you will get!
Which was your favourite product in these Glossy Boxes? Which box do you prefer?

From One Sister To Another

It's Elle's birthday today! So we decided to post my present to her, the idea behind was to create a beauty box full of nice and affordable products. We have to apologise for quality of this photo though as we took it in really bad light!
Inside the box was a sheet explaining the idea behind the 'Bellie Box' (Elle's nickname) it said 'A luxurious box of hand-picked cosmetic products especially chosen to compliment the complexion of the beautiful birthday girl'.
The products inside the box are:
ELF High Definition Powder
MUA Lip Boom in ‘Bring it’
Natural Collection Lipstick in ‘Rose Petal’
Accessorize Mascarra
ELF Lipstick in ‘Fantasy’
Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula Lip Balm
ELF Cream Blush in ‘Heart Breaker’
Natural Collection Lipstick in ‘Coral Shimmer’
Natural Collection Blush in ‘Peach Melba’
ELF Lipstick in ‘VooDoo’
Natural Collection Blush in ‘Pink Cloud’
Revlon Matte Lipstick in ‘Smoked Peach’
MUA Mosaic Blush in ‘English Rose’
Elle says the present is amazing and she can't wait to start using it!

MUA Lip Boom

The Lip Boom is a double ended product or lipstick and gloss designed by Alexandra Burke for MUA, the one we have is in the shade 'OK.COM' which is a pretty nude colour. It's a really good idea to have these two products in one as a sort of two step process and creates a shimmery nude look on the lips and would be really handy to take with you on the go!
The lipstick is very matt and can be used alone as well as combines with the gloss, which comes out much more than it appears in the tube. Both products have a vanillay, cocoa buttery smell which is very sweet! The one downside to the product is that if you apply a lot of the lip gloss it gives a slightly gritty feel on the lips due to the glitter in the product, other than this it is a great product!
What is your favourite on the go lip product? Have you tried the Lip Boom?

Revlon Lip Products? Yes Please!

Lip Butters

We have three Revlon Lip Butters in 'Peach Parfait', 'Sweet Tart' and 'Raspberry Pie'. The Texture of these is really nice and soft and we love how easy it is to apply. You can create a sheer lighter colour by applying just one sweep or layer it for a darker look. The colours are so pretty but we were quite surprised that 'Peach Parfait' is glittery which we didn't realise when we bought it (we sort of opened it and were like waaah?). It is still really lovely on the lips though! These are worth the hype!

Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain

We have two Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains in 'Rendezvous'  and 'Lovesick' these stains have only recently been released in the UK. They have a pepermint smell which is a little odd but in a nice sort of way and give great colour! The colour stays better than a lipstick but not for ages and rubs off quite quickly when eating or drinking etc. We are absolutely loving these at the moment!

What's your favourite Revlon lip product?

Mini Collection 2000 Haul!

So we will go left to right:
Blush in shade 3 'Breathless'
Planning to use this shade as a highlight and loving the floral pattern in the powder! So cute!
Shimmer Shades in  'Blushalicious'
Described as "4 complimentary, shimmering shades for a subtle radiant glow" A great thing about products like this is that you can use the four shades separately or give it a good swirl for a mix of the colours.
Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner in 'Black'
A felt tip shaped liner that we can't wait to try but it has proved pretty difficult to open without making a complete mess of your hands (maybe its our technique?) will be interesting to see if it really does last 24 hours.
Cream Puff in 'Cotton Candy'
Described as "Velvety soft, matt finish lip cream". It is one of the cutest products we have ever seen! The name, the shade name, the smell, all very sweet!
Which product catches your eye? Have your tried any of these?

Collective Empties!

As you can see we have used a LOT of products over the past month or so! Some good, some bad, some just plain ugly! (Joking we didn't find any of the products horrendous!)

Hair Products:
Alberto Balsam Herbal Shampoo "Juicy Green Apple":
We both have hair that tends to get greasy and think this shampoo improves the problem! It smells great as well which is a definite bonus and the smell stays on your hair for a long time. I have even had people coming up to me, sniffing my head and saying it smells good (which is a bit creepy but worth a mention!).
Timotei Shimmer Shine Shampoo and Conditioner:
"A blend of rose oil and pearl extract" smells great and there is something about the idea of pearl extract that makes you feel pretty classy putting it in your hair! It increased shine slightly but nothing major and dealt with grease like your average shampoo.
Osmo Berber Oil:
I got this in my May Glossybox and I LOVE it! Glossybox says: "A luxurious revolutionary treatment for all hair types, providing transformational results." I made my hair both softer and shinier and can be used before drying on wet hair or as a finishing product after drying. I used this before drying and one of my favourite aspects was that it reduced hair drying time which took so much time off my morning routine meaning more precious beauty sleep! I really want to buy the full size of this product but I thought I would search for a dupe first to try and save myself some pennies!

Body Products:
The Body Shop Moroccan Rose Body Butter:
I liked the smell of this body butter which was a good job seeing as it stayed on the skin for ages! It left my skin feeling moisturised and soft and I think the design on the front of the tub is really pretty! It isn't a full size as it came in one of The Body Shop sets but overall a really nice moisturiser!
Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter:
This body butter smells lush! At first I found it took quite a while to sink into my skin but noticed this less the more I used it. The smell stays on your skin and it leaves it feeling soft and moisturised. E loved the creaminess of the product and said it smelt so good she was tempted to eat it (not a good idea guys!)
The Body Shop Strawberry Puree Body Lotion:
This product smelt nice (and quite strong!) and a small bit went a long way but E said she prefers a creamier texture to her body lotions and felt it left a slight greasy finish. The smell stayed on your skin a long time and moisturised okay.
Marc Jacobs Lola Body Lotion:
The scent of this lotion is REALLY strong! I personally love the smell of the Lola perfume so I am happy to use this knowing I will smell of it after! The consistency is quite thin but it moisturises well and left my skin feeling soft but by far the most noticeable thing about this moisturiser is the smell it leaves on your body!
Garnier Body Intensive 7 Days Softening Lotion (Samples):
E got these on a free trial from the Garnier website. She thought it was a good product, she used it mainly on her legs and it make them much softer and less dry! She would buy this product.
Noble Isle Summer Rising Bath & Shower Gel:
I also got this in my May Glossybox. Glossybox says "An immaculate fragrance evoking the beginnings of summer. Noble Isle is a new British bath and body brand inspired by the natural and cultural riches of the British Isles." This shower gel smelt really nice and felt really luxurious to use! Very nice!
Deep Clenz Anti-Bacterial Hand Gel:
This product has a very strong smell that stays on your hands for a long time. E hates the smell of this product as it reminds her of nail polish remover and smells very chemically! It has quite a watery consistency and left your hands feeling slightly sticky which is not what you want from a sanitiser! However it was 4 for £1 from Poundland which probably explains it (that will teach us not to bargain hunt!). Technically it is not an empty because there is still a little left but we are throwing it out because we don't like it!

Nail Products:
Tesco Nail Polish Remover:
Wasn't the most amazing nail polish remover, wasn't the worst so a pretty average product.
Tesco Nail Polish Remover Pads:
Sensing a pattern here with the Tesco nail polishes? We just shop there sometimes its nothing to do with the quality of their nail polishes! These pads were okay but made my hands and nails feel a bit greasy after use.
Barry M Nail Paint in 'Neon Pink':
This is technically not an empty but the texture had gone all gloopy (anyone have any tips to save this?!) We liked the colour and are both big fans of Barry M Nail Paints! But I don't think we will re-purchase it as there are plenty more colours to try!

Toothpaste:
Pearl Drops Party Sparkle Whitening Toothpolish:
We LOVE this toothpaste for whitening! Pearl Drops is the only brand of whitening toothpaste we have used where we have actually been able to notice the difference in whiteness of our teeth!

Perfume:
Diesel Fuel For Life:
I really like this perfume and have bought the full size! It is one of those perfumes that when you wear it people are like "Oooh what are you wearing?"
Lolita Lempicka Si Lolita:
I got this in my May Glossybox! Glossybox says "Discover Lolita Lempicka's feminine world where Parisian chic meets fantasy fairy tale to create the perfect fragrance." A nice feminine fragrance.

Deodorants:
Sanex Dermo Invisible:
Protected from sweat and marks like your average deodorant - nothing amazing.
Dove Go Fresh:
Smells good and Dove is E's favourite deodorant brand!

Face Products:
Vichy Derma Blend:
I got this in my June Glossybox. Glossybox says "Vichy's expert camouflage foundation stick for minor to severe skin flaws." This foundation stick was THICK and I didn't find it very easy to apply or blend into my skin! I also felt that it creased really quickly in the areas around my nose and eyes and don't really see how it could be used for minor skin flaws. I did not like this product.
Benefit That Gal Brightening Face Primer:
I got this in Glamour magazine and I quite like it! It smells really nice and seemed to work quite well at brightening the skin as it comes out a pinky colour which blends well into the skin.
Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation:
I really like this foundation! It is a really good colour match for both our skin, we have it in the shade 'Ivory'. It has a tiny bit of shimmer in but it doesn't really show up on the face and over all it just has a brightening effect on the skin. It is a medium coverage foundation but is build-able. I have re-purchased this foundation already
Essential Waitrose 4 in 1 Vitamin E Facial Cleansing Wipes:
We both thought these wipes were quite rough on the skin but other than this  the wipes were generally okay at taking make-up off.
Boots Essentials Cucumber Cleansing Wipes:
These smell AMAZING! I absolutely love the smell and they take make-up off well! These are probably some of my favourite face wipes that I have tried.
Garnier Fresh Essentials Eye Make-up Remover:
E liked this as it felt fresh on the skin and not as though it was full of chemicals. She also thought it smelt fresh and thinks it is an all round good product.
